Ice Dams Are Coming

Ice Dams are more than just pretty icicles.

We're starting to warm up which is really a great feeling for those of us here in Idaho, but we're not out of the woods year when it comes to winter storms.  Looking at the weather, we might actually be getting some early morning snow mid week, but the temperature during the day will be above freezing.  That means a potential for Ice Dams.  

An Ice Dam is when the snow on your roof melts into the cold gutter and refreezes causing a back up.  The problems begin when the water starts to penetrate into your roof causing significant roof and water damage to your home.

There are several ways to prepare for ice dams, but usually they're difficult or costly.  SERVPRO will be happy to help you clean up the storm damage until you can get a new system on your roof.
